The inaugural edition of Ancient Chinese Towns (I) was held in Heshun. With its characteristics and popularity, Heshun Ancient Town stood out from 181 national ancient towns and was selected as the special stamp of "Ancient Towns of China (I)". There are eight special stamps of "Ancient Towns of China (I)", including Heshun Town of Tengchong in Yunnan province, Qiantong Town of Ninghai in Zhejiang Province, Laitan Town of Hechuan in Chongqing, Shaowu Heping Town of Fujian Province, Jingziguan Town of Xizhou in Henan Province, Tangjiawan Town of Zhuhai in Guangdong Province, Lizhuang Town of Yibin in Sichuan Province and Jingsheng Town of Lingshi in Shanxi Province.

The government of Tengchong County introduced Bolian Group in the form of investment attraction, which merged the former Tengchong Heshun Overseas Chinese Township Tourism Development Co., Ltd. to establish Yunnan Bolian Heshun Tourism Culture Development Co., Ltd., and started the operation and management of Heshun Ancient Town for 40 years.
