Tengchong Heshun ancient town is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in Yunnan and a national 4A level tourist attraction. For more than 600 years, the culture of central Plains, Western culture, nanzhao culture and frontier culture have blended and collided here, forming the unique culture of overseas Chinese hometown and horse gang culture.

The ancient town of Heshun is built on the hillside and stretches for several miles. A river flows through town, qingxi lingering, such as green mountain dai. In recent years, Heshun ancient town has become a famous tourist destination in China with its unique charm of folk customs, natural ecology, humanistic spirit and historical culture. In 2003, Heshun was recommended by China National Geographic, Fashion Travel and other magazines as one of the "50 Places to Visit in one's Lifetime". In October 2005, heshun ancient Town was selected as one of the "Top Ten Charming Towns in China" by CCTV.

Under the influence of open and inclusive Heshun culture, heshun ancient town is full of people and philosophers, such as Marxist philosopher Ai Siqi, who was born here.
