In December 2020, when Gu Binglin, Xu Zhihong, Rao Zi and three academicians investigated Tengchong, they proposed that Tengchong has a pleasant climate, altitude, location environment, history and culture, biodiversity and other advantages, which are very similar to Davos town, which is very suitable for scientists to get away from the noise of the city, look up at the stars, search for the truth, and have a scientific ideological journey. It also proposed to learn from the ideas of "Davos Town" and "Davos Forum", and planned to hold "Tengchong Scientists Forum".
Go back a year. In 2022, the first Tengchong Scientists Forum was successfully held, which received strong responses from the world. People can't help but focus on this extreme city.

The creation of the earth tens of thousands of years ago, the lava eruption millions of years ago, and the uncanny workmanship of nature have created Tengchong, a unique mountain "sea" treasure land in the southwest border of the motherland.
On April 11 of the lunar calendar in 1639, Xu Xiake crossed the Lujiang River and crossed the Gaogong Mountain from Puman Sentinel west along the Southern Silk Road, from the watershed to Tengchong City.

Tengchong has unique volcanic geothermal resources, covering 70.7% of forest resources, and reserves of more than 1.3 million kilowatts of hydropower resources.
Gaoligong Mountain has A wide variety of animals and plants, which is listed as "biodiversity protection circle" by UNESCO and A-level protected area by the World Wildlife Fund.
