Qingming

     The tomb-sweeping and sacrificial acts in Heshun are generally divided into two forms. One is on the day before tomb-sweeping day, with willow branches, water, incense, etc., to the ancestors grave. The willow branches should be doused with water, and in front of the grave with a wick incense, become by willow, and take a willow home inserted in the door above. Then in the Tomb-sweeping day more than ten days of any one day, invited relatives and friends to the ancestral tomb repair, eradication of weeds. But also to the local unique "earth pot" cooking dishes, and invited the clansmen together to offer sacrifices to the land god and ancestors of the dead, after the end of everyone taste together for food. Before returning home, place a special white cotton paper flag on the grave to signal the successor. The other is a combination of tomb sweeping and sacrifice at one time.

    Every year on the Qingming Festival, the major families in Heshun hold sacrificial activities attended by ethnic groups at home and abroad, in order to strengthen the fellowship between ethnic groups and promote the construction of harmonious civilization in Heshun. No matter how far away they are from home, people will rush back to Heshun when Qingming Festival comes as long as conditions permit. They sweep the graves of their ancestors and perform sacrificial rites to show their loyalty, gratitude and remembrance of their ancestors.
